Hammer or torch

I got this from LFS yesterday and was sold to me as a hammer. I told the LFS guy it looks like a torch and the guy showed me their torches which have a lot longer tentacles. So is this a hammer?

Thanks.

I had a torch a long time ago and I did remember the tentacles were a lot longer and had a really long stinger that killed everything within 8” of it that’s why I did not want a torch anymore.

I’ll keep an eye on this and see if a stinger comes out.

I’m going to be the odd one out and say hammer. Looks a lot like my gold hammer and nothing like my torch.

Just for comparison, torch on the left and hammer on the right

That is exactly what the LFS said, torch has long tentacles like the picture on the left, and hammer has the shorter tentacles like the one on the right. The one I got definitely has short tentacles. The tips look more like torch than a hammer though. Perhaps when the head gets bigger it will change. Or maybe it’s a hybrid.

I want to say Hammer because some of the tips are starting to develop the wider end

I was going to say torch, but look at the tentacle second from the bottom right. Thor's hammer may say otherwise.

Hammers and frogs can touch but torches have to be isolated from what I read and experienced.

Yes, most euphyllia can touch each other, though torch's are evil bastards and should be placed on an island.

I found this fruit stand(not my tank)

Yes, and it is very odd that the above photo said there is a torch with a hammer
