Can I use sodium bicarbonate as 2 part

I’m switching from Kalwasser to 2 part and have my dosing pumps set up but need to order my BRS 2 part additives. I have the calcium and magnesium mix but no soda ash. Can I sub sodium bicarbonate for soda ash to get started?

You can use sodium bicarbonate as, but the solutions will be ½ the strength of the soda ash version. You also can bake the sodium bicarbonate to convert it to soda ash. This article has more:
