Ecotech Vortech MP60wes checking for wear?

I bought a complete setup used from a local reefer and it came with an Ecotech Vortech MP60wes. So far I cleaned the wetside and I was hoping to get some advice on checking all major components for wear and possible need of replacement. Can anyone give me a tutorial of how to check the wetside, dry side, and controller to make sure everything is working and not worn out?

If the impeller spins freely then it is likely just fine. They're great pumps.

If you want to quiet it down you can order the QD upgrade driver.
