Shipping Salt
Hello all,
Do commercial salts become less homogeneous in their mixture as they are handled? if so what do you do to combat this? If this is true I would expect my mg and ca alk level to vary from when i first crack open a bucket to then i use the last 10 gals. |

They might. In some cases, that seems to happen, but it's hard to be sure when the salt separated. Some people suggest mixing salt by hand once it's received. That might be complicated for a large container, though.

Bertoni, thanks for the info. I just got my first bucket of TM Bio-actif and I hear that TM has some issues with their salt separating during shipping. I am not sure if this is true but I was going to try to mix it a little bit just to make sure I got the best bang for my 90 bucks.

I think that's worth the effort. Good luck!
