New 100g Rimless/braceless Leemar tank build
Posted this in the SPS forum but thought I post here as well. Thank will be 48lx24wx20h. It has a corner triangle overflow for a 1.5" overflow, 1 3/4" return. Although that tank is rimless, I did not go with Low Iron glass since I really don't see a huge difference. This tank will be replacing my old 90g tank that was 36x24x25 that had an ugly center brace. Tank will be about 95% sps and I will be using all of my exciting equipment. Here is the equipment list to start of:
Tank 48x24x20 rimless brace less Leemar polished edges w/black silicone. Sump 32x18x16 custom glass tank that I got here on RC Lighting 2x 250 SE XM 10k in Luminarc Mini relfectors, then will switch to Radiums. SLS Dual Galaxy ballast 2x 48 VHO's or T5 (Also considering the ATI 8x54 fixture) Flow Ehiem 1262 return feeding a 1/4 Current USA Prime chiller 2x 6000 Tunzes (may change to 6055) 2x Korallias 4 1x Vortec Controler ACjr, DC8 and DC4 Cal/Alk/Mag & Top off Randy's 2part using Litter Meter 3 Tunze Osmolator Skimmer and PO4 control ATI Bubble Master 250 Kent Marine po4 reactor w/rowaphos Here are some picture of the old set up and the new stand that will hold the new tank. Will post pictures of tank once i pick up. Here is the old tank some of the coral have been sold

Nice Mario! I really like the triangle overflow, much better than the standard square box. Are you going to black out the background? Your 90 was a stunner, can't wait to see this one take off.

Yeah I also like the triangle overflow. I am still pondering the back ground, I kind of like the way it look but that might change. Yeah I hope this one does good as well.
So how is your tank build going.

Well its finally up and running. Still have to glue the frags on the rocks but other then that its running. Here is a picture of the tank under 10k Reeflux 250se on galaxy ballast. As of right now I am only using two k4 for flow.

Mario,
3:16 AM! Dude you've had a long day but your hard work paid off as your tank looks great! I love the braceless look its so clean. You put in new sand and I suppose the live rock came from your 90, do you think your tank will have a mini cycle? Can you post a picture of your lights? Dan |

Hey Dan thanks it was a long day, but it all paid off. I still have to glue some frag and move some stuff around but that is the easy part. I added new sand because when I took down the old one, once I removed the base rock i could see that it was not good and need some heavy cleaning. It was so black that when I move the sand I smelled like sulfur. Right now the lights are nothing special just a piece of board hanging and the reflector attanched to it.

yeah the blue really pop on the reeflux 10k. If I can get past the pink coloration I would run them all the time. The only issues is that its no good on all the other colors. Yellow, green reds and purples all look bad.

Mario,
your tank looks a lot nicer under Radium bulb. What about those cores in the back? any solution to hide them yet? Other than lightning, your tank looks good bro. Keep us updated.

Mario, I don't think you ordered a tank big enough to house ALL your corals!
