Mp40 on 3/4" acrylic?
Is this going to stay on or drop off all the time?

Unfortunately I don't think that you will have much luck with them sticking to a 3/4 gap. They would recommend you use a mp60.
I have a new mp40qd that falls off of 1/2 glass, and yet an mp 10 that holds onto it. I think it comes down to each individual magnet and how well it was made.

I was trying to tell you that I have an mp40 that doesn't stick to 1/2" glass even though it is advertised to do so, meaning that the threshold for thickness is right at 1/2". You'd be hard pressed to get yours to stick to 3/4.
I just didn't want to post a simple "no" answer without giving some explanation and insight.

I currently have 2 MP40’s on a 3/4" acrylic tank wall for the last 10 years with no issues. The key is to have the power cord securely tied down above the dryside.

I cannot disagree since I do not own the latest model, but I have heard the same complaint since the original release and I have never had a problem with the two previous models. I have owned up to four MP40’s at the same time and each one has go through multiple replacements/upgrades and they have all worked on my tank.
