flex seal on flooring?

So I have built a fish room for an in wall tank a few years back in the basement and have hung drywall etc. The concrete floor is still bare and I am looking for an inexpensive way to finish the floor and protect against any catastrophic leakage into the rest of the finished basement. I am looking at maybe putting in a 1 in baseboard type wood strip and sealing baseboard and floor with flex seal paint. Has anyone ever done this or see any potential issues? I am unsure if the flex seal will create a smooth or slippery surface (thinking about slip hazard) vs some other kind of concrete paint or sealant.

Flex seal is robbery in a can IMO. There are much better options. Flex seal will not hold up to any foot traffic very long at all, and it does not dry solid but remains slightly flexible. I would personally make the baseboard out of composite trim/board instead of wood. Also give it a coat of oil based kilz on all 4 sides before installing. After I would probably cover it and the floor in floor Epoxy of some type. Homedepot carries a rustoleum brand that is usually used in garages but would work well for your case. it will also leave a nice looking, durable waterproof finish. I will add a link below, i hope that does not break any rules. Good luck!

Second the epoxy floor paint..
Required surface prep depends on age/condition,etc.. of the concrete..

Flex seal is not a good choice at all.

It there Adrain in the floor? My room has a drain and the few spills I’ve had had discolored the concrete but the water mostly went down the drain.
