Calcium low at 8 dkh

My Alk is at around 8dkh. Calc is 400. Mg was around 1350.

Is it low at that range? I am aiming growth not coloration at this stage
Can I just dose B-Ionic part 2 to bring up Calc to say 450?

Your parameters are ok. I would prefer a higher Calcium level of 425 ppm to 450 ppm but this works. Your corals will grow fine. Are you running pure SPS or mixed or LPS/Softies?

Those are my ideal parameters.

I agree that your parameters are great.

You can bring up your Ca alone if you want. Any CaCl product is just fine, and can be used without its alk counterpart if you want.

NSW is roughly 7dkh, 420ppm CA, and 1250ppm Mg. Higher will produce faster growth, and the ratio is as important as the values IME. If you are going to push, I would aim for 9-10 dkh (up to 11 is safe but getting risky), 450-500ppm Ca, and 1400ppm Mg.

Don't push up your Alk if your nutrients are low. You will kill your Acros. I run my Alk 6.8 to 8ish max.

as long as ca above 370 you are fine. high ca only result in more clean of your pumps.

Don't have Acros right now. By nutrients you mean NO3 and PO4? Mine are around 12ppm NO3 and 0.7ppm PO4.
