Zebra eel & Ich

Hi guys, need your advice. I have ich in my system, most of my fish are gone already, and remaining are already in separate quarantine system. The only one what is left in my tank is zebra eel.
Question 1 - will ich survive on ell? I know they can bring ich with water what is in their gills, but if I leave him alone for 75 days do you think it will work to get rid of Ich from my system?
Question 2 - any new data on fishless tanks and Ich? Someone told me that if I bring my temp up to 85°f ich should be gone in 2-3 weeks?
Please advice, my system is almost 1000 galons and I am doing it probably 3rd time already, not mentioning how many fish I lost.
Thanks
Adam
