Lechee,

You are not able to upgrade an original MP10 to the new QuietDrive, but you can upgrade to the previous EcoSmart model.

Sure can!!! The EcoTech website shows you all the possibilities, but all you need to do is buy the QD upgraded driver (wireless or non, depending on what you have and what you want). Then open your blue box and unplug the motor and plug it into the new QD driver box. Directions will come with the QD upgrade box, too. Also, if you're still not confident, call ip EcoTech customer service and they'd be glad to help you find just the right item you need. Best customer service in the business, hands down.

Now I'm confused since the ecotech post above says I can't. Can anyone confirm either one? Thanks

Hi Ecotech,

I think the connectors are identical between the blue and the ES as well as the QD model. What is the consequence if I connect the original MP10 to a QD driver?

thanks

The plug on the new QD dry side is the same as the ES dry side plug, but has less wires going in to the plug. I learned recently that plugging a QD dry side into an ES driver just results in the red/green blink.

I believe the ES dry sides work with the QD drivers, but I've only tried that on MP60's so far.

Call them if you want to be sure, please do report back.
