How many Vortech ?

Hi,

I discovered on the ecotechmarine website the calculator for the Vortech.

I put all data related my tank including one or two mp10wdq that I'm currently using with Reeflink. Could you help me to know what does mean ?

I posted one picture of the tank e the result of the calculator with one and with two Vortech.

Result with one MP10

Result with two MP10

They are saying 2940L/h is ideal rate for SPS in your tank size. That's exactly 35 times turnover so they're taking your tank volume x 35 to get that number. One MP10 run at 100% will do 5700 but nobody really runs 100% all the time. Two MP10's at 50-60% in anti-sync is probably ideal. That only actually flows about 25-30% of maximum what the two pumps will do combined, but it will be much more varied flow and won't stress the pumps, and will be quiet.

The calculator isn't showing anything related to pump position. Only flow rate. Placement is largely based on what flow modes you are using. Putting the two pumps on the back like that is just fine. You won't get the most of of ecosmart modes like that, but they're designed to work with three or more pumps anyway.
