got the frags/colonies and here they are in my tank.
i did dip them but do you guys still suggest to frag them off this base? If i do this the colonies will im sure break and i will lose all the encrusting base on them.

If I can convince you of anything it would be to take a decent weekly FTS. I saw a picture of my tank from 3 weeks ago and was astounded at the growth. In real time you don't see it, but looking back just a bit you'll see a ton of progress.

I have my lfs cut those bases off. I don't put want bars or frag plugs in my tank from other sources. Don't worry about losing the encrusted part it'll grow back fast. The acros pest suck to get.

Yeah but at this point does it even matter since its been in the tank since Wednesday now? I also am worried that I may already have AEFW, i could not find any worms or eggs but on the one frag that ive had for a long long time it looked like it had bite marks. i also dip everything in bayer but maybe something slipped by. i am getting a better magnify glass on saturday well hopefully its better and i will go from there. I just threw out the frag that looked like it had bite marks, wasnt the best frag anyways. none of my other corals show any sign of aefw but i will continue to monitor the tank very closely.

Tanks looking well. That scape is pretty cool. You've got so many cool pieces. In my new tank I'm trying my best to keep acro numbers low lol

Tank looks great. Like everyone said, I too love the scape. Man I hope you didn't get AEFW. That is why they say cut all of the frags/colonies off of the base. Bayer gets rid of the live ones but not the eggs. Eggs are usually on the base. Good luck.

i just dipped a lot of them again that didnt have as good PE as the others. i couldnt find any bite marks and no flatworms and i was using a magnifying glass but i will keep my eyes peeled for them. i usually do cut the bases off, besides these i just got and there is no way the "potential AEFW" is from them as i just got them wed and i had this problem before then. i was just lazy till i had some extra time after work to really check it out.

was able to take a look at the tank this morning with the lights off and a flashlight. the PE was insane and almost back to the level it was in the tank before i moved it, it was a great thing to see and can only hope that it will continue.
just have to keep my levels as stable as they have been the past week or 2, it is hard though as i have to continue to raise calc and alk as the corals get more and more healthy

view from left side:
FTS: from front left side FTS from right front side: Side shot from right side: One thing i think is strange is that my corals look more and more healthy, however I am still only dosing 40ml of alk 2 part a day which seems very low for these amounts of frags. At the same time I have to keep upping my calcium 2 part and I am now dosing 120 ml of calcium 2 part to keep up with the levels. My levels have been stable at 8.6 alk and 420 calc.

I see you said your dosing way more calc than alk. You should be dosing the same amount. What is your magnesium level?

Something is out of wack. Corals don't use more calc than alk. They use a fixed ratio. Here is a video that may help a little. https://youtu.be/Qy9m-VNvN0s That guy has an issue with using more alk, but it's the same principal. Also, here is an article from Randy Holmes on how to get it back in balance when your using mor alk or calc than the other,

I'm guessing your calcium mix isn't strong enough or your magnesium is out of whack.

I was going to suggest a sand tiger conch or three for your sandbed, but it looks like the algae is all gone already. The tank is looking very nice.
