tunze osmolator 5017 problem

After running for about 2 years I noticed low water level in my sump. I checked if osmolator was on and reservoir container full. They were.

with low water level in the sump = normal level LED on. It does not add water to the sump from reservoir container

with above water level in sump = too high LED on and alarm goes off

when I unplug and plug in the osmolator with low water level in the sump = pump is on for few seconds only and LED goes to normal level.

Is it optical sensor? The pump works, I guess it has to be optical sensor.

Thanks

If you always show a green level light and the water level is low, this points to an optic sensor problem, the first thing to try is soaking the sensor in vinegar for 2 hours or so and wiping it with a soft towel, after about 6-12 months mineral deposits tend to render it blind.

Problem solved. Thank you! I soaked the sensor in vinegar for about 6 hours. It works. Thanks
