350 Gallon From Nothing

Hey everyone I'm a decade plus long forum stalker that's been out of the tank game for about 6 years now....sad but true. I got the itch again so I ordered a 96" x 36" x 24" tall tank from Crystal Reef Aquatics out of WA. I'm excited and nervous all rolled into one!

I'll use this thread to journal this complete build. Tonight I'll post pictures of the stand frame and equipment list along with potential tenants.

Enjoy the ride!

This is the stand without the skin....mu daughters are ecstatic to show the size comparison. It's made out of 2 x 6, 4 x 4 and some 2 x 4 bracing. Pretty sure I could sit my truck and then some on it

then its definitely my eyes! nice tank size, i'm sure youl have lot of fun putting this build together. I have 96x30x30" build in the wall and what i enjoy most out of my tank was actually setting it all up/building it.

Well been busy working on doors with two built and mounted. The other opening will be for drawers and a table top drawer for laying items on.

Still have 6+ weeks until I get aquarium and sump with the anticipation just killing me.

Probably going to have quite a few tangs and a couple angels plus I like the darker snowflake clownfish.

Eventually full sps with some fishies. I've seen so many beautiful acros, etc that I'd love mine like that!

This will give u an idea of the light vs 36" width. I add 2 row of ATI blue plus to cover the whole tank cause I do full Sps.

For my experience I can tell u that buying once is much cheaper than buy then upgrade. Anything we buy lose 1/2 value when we sell it back. It's good to look at similar tank size and determine your equipment. From chiller to light to pump to powerhead make sure to get the adequate size so u don't have to buy again

Well besides some putty and sanding the stand is complete. Thought about pre-drilling holes for the drain and returns but will probably wait
