Sounds like you may have been bitten. ...Randy's two-part is easy and inexpensive. SPS are beautiful.

not my inspiration!!!!! A large softy LPS tank
No I'm kidding, I do love your tank, but I few SPS would look good in there too. I too am trying a few small frags in my tank
Good luck and I'll be watching

I mentioned in a previous post that I was looking at older photos from earlier this year and was surprised to see how much some of the corals had grown.

Here are some growth shots of some of the corals.

This was taken 9/13/2013

Same coral taken 3/9/2014

This was taken 12/13/2014

Branching Hammer coral in the lower center of the photo. Picture taken 9/13/2013

Same Hammer coral taken 5/19/2014

Same Hammer tanken 12/13/2014. Notice that it now dwarfs the little leather coral behind it so much that you can't see the leather anymore.

Same Hammer 12/13/2014

My bunch of finger or spaghetti corals. 9/13/2013

Picture taken 5/19/2014

Same corals 12/13/2014 but not taken at peak lighting so they aren't fully extended.

If you look in the upper middle right you can see another branching hammer. This coral started out as a fragment no large than my pinky nail about 20 months ago. It fell into a crack on that rock at which point I thought I lost it. A couple months later it sprouted.

Photo taken 9/13/2013

Photo taken 3/19/2014.

Same branching hammer coral taken 12/13/2014 in the upper center of this picture.

Scott, great pics and great Tank
Are u a bit frustrated that you can clean the Coralline algae on the surface of the acrylic as easy as you would on glass?
I'm planing to get my 400+ tank built, but I'm still deciding on glass or Acrylic
Any advice?

Cheers
KS

I also did a bit or organizing of my Apex components for the display refugium. I use the VDM module for the pair of Tunze 6095's in the display and the Lunar sim for the moon lights on the display fuge.

I still need to clean the wires up a bit more but it's much better than having the modules and wires all over the bottom of that stand.

That particular tank uses a Maxspect Razor for the lighting. I mounted the two Lunar Sim LED's in to the vacant recess for the extra fans. It worked out pretty good. I angled the Lunar LED's inward slightly to maximize the coverage where I needed it.

This was taken last week at 92% full moon.

I believe that's an engineer goby. The only reason you can see it is because there is no substrate, otherwise it would disappear under the rockwork and you'd be unsure if it even existed.
