Filter Paper
I am kicking around the idea of converting an old aquarium to a filter using approx. 12 in wide industrial coolant filtration rolls with an automatic advance motor with a float switch can someone please advise on where I can find roll paper material or materials I should avoid Thank You so much in advance

Interesting project. How about just a roll of cloth hand towels that roll up into those bathroom boxes.

Coolant filter paper is typically a rayon/polyester blend.. Basically any 50-100 micron filter paper for coolant or milk,etc... will work just fine..
You can get them in various widths/lengths all over ebay..

I've seen people talk about using the coolant paper off eBay but there have been some concerns raised over if there is any residue left on the paper during its production that could potentially be problematic for using in a reef aquarium.
