You are right... I was thinking of last year.. the 11 was on a Sun and the observance was Monday.

WOW.. I have had my head in the TANK and the SAFE too much lately.

Hi Wayne,

looks like you had lots of fun playing in your tank

The rock work looks really cool in the tank.
I thought it might look a bit packed, but now where I've seen it,
I just love it
Fits in nicely and looks just natural.
I'm excited to see how it looks, when the water is in.

Greetings
Mathias

I painted the wall behind my tank black...I thought it would improve resale value if it wasn't permanently colored!

Looking great Wayne!

Thanks Mathias. My 225 is packed and I swore to myself that I wasn't going to do that ever again. I just want my corals to grow and lots of swimming room for the fish. I am trying to keep it as natural as possible.

Location location location. Like I said earlier black is cool as I had the background and my sand that color. I just want to try something new and fresh.

I totally understand you buddy.
I really like your old tank, but the scape of the new one
is much better.

This natural look is in my opinion essential in modern reef keeping.
There is less space for dirt to accumulate, flow is more effective and
there is lots of space for fish to swim.

Greetings
Mathias

Thank you for serving for our freedom, now lets get that monster tank going! How long do you estimate for the system to be up and running?

Happy Veteran's Day. Thank you for serving our country. The rock work looks great so far - can't wait to see some movement!

Well yesterday I purchased the timber, screws and lots of stuff
to start building the stand.
I also found a company to manufacture my tank for
a decent price.
Now I'm trying to figure out what skimmer to use.

It's coming along slowly but steady

Thanks for your interest!

Greetings
Mathias

That's a great start. Slow and steady is the way to go. Trust me I know. It took about two years to get where I am now.

Thanks Eville. Some of the rock has to be reworked because of a little stupidity on my part. More scaping will progress in the coming days.

Looking good Wayne! What skimmer did you decide to go with again?

P.S. Thank you for your service!

Quite interested in your tank setup and scaping. I am having mine installed starting today. Have lots of rock waiting in an old sump. LFS will do the install I am retired at age 70 looking to enjoy more and do less. but that won't work. I will be keeping quite busy with my 500g + 3X60g setup. Here is a picture of a huge skimmer that is recommended for me Quite large .. But supposed to be great skimmer. Behind it my tank on its way today

Thanks for posting on my thread. That's a nice top notch skimmer you have going there. Wishing you the best on your build. Do you have a thread on your tank?
