[QUOTE=sahin;22244788]Does your buddy have a tank thread on this forum or another forum? You can email me the link. Would love to see his tank photos.

I dont use the night mode on my pumps either.

Stick to the basics and the tank get reward you. /QUOTE]

I asked him about it and he doesn't post anything unfortunately. I wish more people contribute.

The ONLY Monti's I have in my tank are the Undata and the ForestFire Digitata. IME they grow TOO fast for my liking.

I gave away a COLONY of the ForestFire to my LFS recently. I had the base still attached to my rock and already it is a mini colony.

So when it comes to placement be sure to place it where its easy to control its growth etc.

Your frags look happy, so the tank is progressing well.

Are you getting Diatoms or algae on the rocks and sand?

I've added a few frags here and there. I'm still waiting for them to color up. IMHO the previous owner didn't know what he was doing and sold me lots of browned out frags. We will see what I really have in the next few weeks.

I do have some diatoms here and there. I truely don't think most tanks are stable until the 6-12 month mark.

Frags I think I have
-Vivid Rainbow Delight
-GARF Bonsai
-Tricolor Valida?
-Green Digi
-AquaSD Rainbow Milli
-Setosa
-Joe's Kazoo's Zoa

Frags I know I have
-Blonde Hair Blue Eyed B. Zoa
-Fruit Loops Zoa
-Sunset Monti

Some of the best SPS out there are:
  • Oregon Tort - Most BLUE SPS ever!
  • Icefire Echinata - BEAUTIFUL Piece!
  • ORA Pearlberry - Smashingly beautiful!
  • ORA Red Planet
  • ORA Hawkins Echinata
  • Strawberry Shortcake
  • Pink Lemonade
  • 30k Lokani
  • Palmers Blue Millepora
  • GARF Bonsai - you already have
  • Setosa - you already have
  • Tyree Blue Matrix

Plenty of others, but these are sort of the more usual top end ones that come to mind. But those in the list, every SPS collector ought to have...not because they fetch high price, or are Limited Edition, but because they are SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

I forgot to mention I do have a ORA Red Planet, ORA Hawkins Enchinata, ORA Green Birdsnest, Tyree Sunset Monti.

I have a huge frag pack coming today from a local friend. I'll put it up soon.

Looks great!
Iam thinking about ordering a tank from them also, I might go 48x32x20 and after I saw Your external overflow I might do the same
How loud is it? Could it be covered with a piece of glass or acrylic?

Thank You

Sometimes to find the things you like you have to travel
The coral bug is endemic.

Thank you for your compliments. The tank is still in the works and I choose the 120g because of the dims too, as well as the manageability with WC's, dosing, etc.
Anything bigger would actually be too stressful for me

Yeah, they did a excellent job on the tank. It did take awhile coming from Canada and customs. Cost wise was exactly the same here, even with shipping. It know this sounds expensive but go for the one piece euro brace! Not many companies can make one and the tank will retain it's value. Also, add on the sump from them, one less thing to worry about.

The external overflow is dead silent! No swishing, gurgling, splashing, sucking, sounds. Everyone that comes over asks how it can be so quiet.
I don't have a cover over the overflow and the company forgot to send one. One does not need it. The noise I was referring to earlier posts was about my sump drain, but I raised the water level in the sump and it's relatively quiet.

I will be putting up photos soon. I've been bogged down with work building our my new office location and its consuming most of my daddy time and personal life.

Hmm... I recall buying that "Y" adapter from the LFS. It's not really a true "Y", those things cost $$$. It's more of a straight pipe with a 45 degree. In theory the rate the water flows up is dependant on gravity and both output nozzles should be getting equal amounts of flow. This is according to my friend that works as a Engineer for the aquatics and flow division of the Navy in San Diego for submarine development.
(Don't tell him but I do notice the left output comes out sooner)

Thanks! I don't know the evolution of the pillar in a reef tank. We will all find out in a few years. It might not look good ;P
