There is no way I would use that stand! Put a tank full of water on it and all you would need to do is push on one end for it to collapse.

You can see in later videos that he fills it without incident. Still, it would make me very nervous.
I love the idea of a steel stand, but with the investment of a large system like that, why not just do it right and get it designed and welded by a pro?

The problem for me is getting a 6ft stand in my basement, this looked like a great way to build it. My other opinion is to get a stand welded in 3 24 inch sections.

Weld it in place or have it break down and bolt together in a way that's designed to retain the strength you need, versus scaffolding which is basically held together with a bunch of set screws.
Or build a conventional 2x4 stand right in place.

The ends & Tees would make for pressure points I would not be comfortable with.

I did not want to build with 2x4s because we are contemplating selling our house in 2 years or so. I think the only way I can get it done is if I have the stand welded in the 3 24 inch sections and have holes drilled where I can bolt them together.
