Some inverts dying
I have a question for my aquarists friends. I have a 40g Nuvo tank and I cured the rocks for 2 months then put them in my tank and cycled it for another two months. I have two clownfish, a six line wrasse, and a six spot sand sifter goby that are all doing really well! I also have 4 trochus snails and about 5-6 hermit crabs. They are also doing well. Recently within about three days of one another I had a red fire shrimp and an emerald crab die and I am confused why. I've never had this problem before in any other tank I've had. Maybe not enough food got to them idk? I also have a rose bubble tip anemone that was doing well initially, but since has gone into a cave and isn't really getting much light. I feel it, but it stays closed up about a fourth of the time during the day and has small stringy like tentacles. Anyways the day the shrimp died I measured all my levels and then did a large water change and still the emerald crab died a few days later! And my Anemone is just confusing. The clownfish loves it, but it still doesn't seem right. Here are my levels:
Temp: 77 degrees pH: 8.2 Nitrite: 0ppm Phosphate: 0.00ppm Alk: 8.6dkh Salinity: 1.025 Ammonia: 0ppm Copper: 0ppm Calcium: 440ppm Magnesium: 960ppm I had been working on getting my calcium and magnesium levels up over time to start adding corals, but other than that everything has been perfect it seemed. Help me with any info you may have.

I don't think it's a problem sometimes things just die. Maybe just a coincidence they died a couple days apart. I have lost plenty of emeralds I think they weren't getting enough food. As for the nem they are strange sometimes I've had friends do what yours is doing only to come out later fully or stick out from cover to get some light. Others just died off. I'd see if it would take some food hopefully it will come around. I've had some that shriveled up for days thought they were goners and opened back up so you never know.

Yeah the anemone is confusing but I have hopes it will recover. I agree with you in that it's prolly just a coincidence. I think you are right about the emerald crab not getting enough food. Next time I get one I might place some larger food on the sand to try and get it to eat. I have no idea about the shrimp

Yeah it did. It almost bleached itself out and finally came out. It has been moving around the tank since. Hasn't regained any color really. Just odd. Maybe my clownfish has stressed it out too much? Idk hard to tell since everything seems to be perfect in the tank now otherwise
