What is this on live rock?
Dropped a couple pieces of live rock in my tank to expedite seeding my BRS reefsaver with live sand. Here's two pics of the top rock and one of the bottom rock. Curious what the stringy stuff is on the top rock...1st 2 pics. Just threw a 3rd of bottom rock in there for the heck of it. Thanks

Tank is cycling as we speak. It's been about a week now and ammonia is dropping with high nitrites and high nitrates. Should be about the middle/end edge of the cycle. Don't think it is the vermetid snail everyone talks about. Just curious

BTW those streaky things are just bubbles in the water to help with O2 for cycle.

Part of the issue is the photos are hard to tell what you're talking about. Please try taking clearer pictures

Maybe a dead decaying sponge?

The 3rd picture does look like old sponge just what UTCREEFER mentioned. The first two are like algae type. Did you clean the live rocks prior to adding?

I didn't clean before adding because I felt like defeated the purpose. Its only about a week old. Should I take the top one out to clean the white stuff off of it?

You should try to remove any visible organics by hand prior to 'dropping them in.' Just from your photos, I would agree w UTCREEFER as well.
