My saltwater habbit system evolution

Ive been into saltwater for over 10 years tried alot failed alot overcome alot and for sure learned alot and still need to learn alot more lol!
Ive logged and took tons of pics from beginning up to now.
I fell in love with this hobby fast and will always as long as im able be in this hobby!

Alot of what ive learned is from you helpful folks right here on reefcentral and i am very grateful for people with like minds there are very few that are into this in my area but the ones that are i keep in contact with.

Anyways here goes some parts of my journey

As you can see hang on back refug. and what you cant see no sump yet and a canister filter under fiberboard yes fiberboard stand. but i got the tank and the setup used. Basic setup for a newbe btw the HOB refug. was new at the time.

Then my first sump setup. 55g

From here i found out all the room i had and my addiction exploded!

my 75g DT before the crash due to construction (remodel) of thew house upstairs.
Pretty much all softies but growing very well!

After it was all tore down and the remodel was done. It was time to start again this time i was going to sps dominate the system had to get a remodel to!

Tried leds and the old scary fiberboard stand gone!

One thing i will note is this the genesis AWC changed the whole game for me at the time with keeping better water quality at minimal effort from me with WCing!

Ive got other pics of my first saump expansion a 20g then i added a 30g frag and got rid of the 20g and added a 40g grow out tank other big changes was my big skimmer Reef Octopus SRO6000SSS, Reefkeeper controller and uv sterilizers one 16w the other 56w. I also went back to T5s.

My newest venture is getting into calcium reactors with some of the sps i want to grow they are touchy with even alittle bit of fluctuations so i cant wait to get my setup completed and get this puppy dialed in stability here i come!

Future plans sump redesign on the floor and a stand over it with my equipment on top.Then i can lower my future other tank addons.
Get rid of the 30g and 40g and put a 75g long frag tank across the whole stand and have x2 40g grow outs on the right side wall and a host of new equipment!
Stay tuned i got more room down there!
Also want a new DT 125g wide with new stand and canopy!

Also ive had one thing never change from day one my clown fish, the day i got my tank home and set up i went and purchased him from petco yes petco lol

Honestly i feel like i have a sleeper. yeah it looks ok for how old it is (DT) but lift up the hood and its got one crazy motor, suspension and drive train! lol

Here is my DIY turf scrubber not perfect by any means but its functional it keeps my system at 5-6 ppm nitrate and .04 phos. I did dose vinegar but wanted to find a more natural way to control nutrients. Before i first tried vinegar though my nitrates were sky high 30ppm+ and my phos. over .10 I would like to get them lower but at least its manageable. Will do a proper ATS setup after my sump rebuild.

I got my slx module in today and drilled out my cup and put a float switch in so no chance anymore of a overflowing skimmer!

got my pump in today!
I was kind of worried about the lower rpm 1.6-100 and was worried it wouldn't put out enough flow boy am I wrong this will work just fine!

I have some better pics of the DT the previous one was before the cleaning. I have a problem i cant seem to shake with red algae but a good cleaning of the sandbed keeps it at bay for a while.
There is alot of blue saturation with my T5s so i played around with the photo editor on my phone it looks much more like it should IMO.
As you can see i have growth and color from my corals but they arent anywhere as colorful as they should be and growth is slow. But that will change in good time!

Been doing some fraging today man it feels good I finally be able to frag again been awhile since my crash I've been able to grow out enough corals to do some. I missed this thing!
