Interesting concept. This excerpt explains it well. Not the type of insurance we would need.

"(Mark) Way explained how the insurance policy would unfold in real time. He said that, if a hurricane were to hit and cause damage, the trust of tourist tax dollars would help finance things like deploying a brigade of scientists to the stricken area. Those trained divers and researchers would then help collect broken corals with hopes of nursing them back to health, and one day reattaching them to the reef later on."
