Personally I use copper based meds and a couple of Prazipro treatments. Normally for 4-6 weeks. Always making sure there is NO ammonia. QT is not only to check for parasites but to allow the fish to recover from the stress of collection and shipping without being attached by others or having to compete for food.

I’ve never used Metro. Cupramine or Cooper safe and Prazipro is what I’ve used.
These two went through it. Grew them both from small juvies. Male is 10” and on the left, 9 years old. Female is about 6” in the right and 3 years old. |

Wow!! Awesome ! I have one juvenile right now. Would love to get a pair going but not sure how. I was thinking of getting about a 5” one that is done with its transition and adding it. Hoping that the juvi will turn into the opposite

I added her as a small juvi when he was about 9” 3 years ago and they’ve been great together.

Thanks. It’s been very fun watching them grow. They can grow 2-3 inches per year the first couple of years.
Just be prepared that the emperor will want to be the boss of the tank. |

Hi
I treat with Copper Power at 2.0 ppm along with Prazipro and Furan 2. With angelfish flukes are a big problem
