temps for zoas

whats the temps you guys keep your tank at for best color and grow...

78 or cooler. Some will melt it if gets much warmer than that, especially the deepwaters.

the reason is to that my zoas are out most of the day and later on they are closed,,,so maybe half the time they are closed...not sure why that is any ideas

78-80, my reefkeeper turns on heater if temp hits below 78 and turns off if it goes over 80, lights and some pumps off if temp over 83.

well then question is that my zoas are open real good when the actinics come on for two hours and then all the lights come on ...then about 2- 3 hours they start closing up...nothing is bothering them so ..any ideas...im also using t 5 lighting so i dont think it too brite.....

how long have they been introduced? light acclimated properly to the lights?

ive had these for almost a year....just the two kinds are acting like this the orange ones and the dragon eye zoas...nothing seems to be bothering them and nothings really changed ...as far as chemistry goes....

try putting the dwz down a couple inches. probably light to bright for em.
