2 part dosing options - BRS

Has anyone purchased the 1 gallon bags of Soda Ash or Calcium Chloride?
I'm wanting to get an idea of how much more/less you get vs buying the 7 pound bag ($23) of mix that you need to measure out yourself.

I imagine you're paying more for the convenience of them measuring the dry goods for you.

I certainly don't mind measuring myself. But obviously, more product for less money is always best.

I by the 1 gallon size Calcium Chloride from BRS for the Calcium part and a large size Baking Soda from the grocery store, bake it for an hour at 330f.

For the Mag part I buy Magnesium Chloride from BRS and Epsom's salt from the grocery.

Have you read this?
