After creating 2 virtual outlets apex classic locked up

I selected directconnect 4 (B4) and 2 virtual outlets were created. When I attempted to change the programming the apex dashboard got stuck spinning its wheels. I closed browser and tried to reconnect nope that didn't work. So I'm figuring maybe I need to delete those 2 outlets from the aqua display. When I navigated to the outlets I tried to delete and the entire apex locked up. I had to do a cold reset to boot it up again. When it came up I was able to change the outlet names. What in the world happen why did this happen what does it mean?
