Help me save this red digi?

So I got this red digi frag several months ago. Shortly after I glued it to the rock it disappeared. I figured one of my urchins must have pushed it out of the glue and it fell between the rocks. I spent some time searching for it with no luck and eventually I forgot about it.

Much to my surprise, the other day I noticed something on the sand in the front of the tank and it was my missing red digi... definitely a bit worse for the wear. But also definitely still alive. I don't know where it was for the past couple of months or how it managed to stay alive, but it did.

I glued it back to the rock, but as I'm looking at it I'm wondering if I should do more. The base is definitely still alive with flesh, color and polyps, but the tops of the branches are dead and have a bit of algae starting to grow on them.

Should I cut off the dead ends of the branches or just leave it is it is and hope it fully recovers?

I would cut off the dead parts and let the live parts going to grow and try to get their PE and color back. I have had a mille that fell off the rock and was lost for over a month, had to frag a decent portion of it that was dead but the other portion is doing great.

Well, I posted this months ago, but I was just thinking about it and I wanted to follow up. I took cody's advice and cut off the dead parts and I'm happy to say that it fully recovered and is doing great now

Here's a picture of the same coral from today.
