Button polyp inside out

I got a few buttons in my biocube and the largest has been doing this every day for the past week. A lot of things online say something may be nibbling at it, some people say it's because it gets sand stuck in it, some say that nobody really knows why. The only thing I'm noticing is rapid growth. I fed it a few large pieces of mysis for a couple days strait and it's got 3 new polyps popping out of the base that I can't quite get picture's of get. Just curious if body e has noticed this behavior with growth.

Mine do that all the time. No idea why, but they are healthy.
