6025 impeller
Hi Roger,
I just ordered a new impeller for a 6025A from tunze.com. Is the new blue impeller interchangeable with the old white one? The magnet split and when i pulled it apart, a small steel washer fell out. Does this go between the impeller and motor or is it part of the impeller (so I can toss it)? Thanks, Paul

The new drive unit is interchangeable with the old one. This sounds like a very old pump as by 2010 the stainless washer was gone and the prop was blue. Is the metal shaft still rigidly fixed in the motor? The shaft is part of the motor and does not come with the drive unit and it is not replaceable without replacing the motor.

Yes the shaft is still in the motor and yes it is pretty old. So should I use the washer or no?
Thanks.

The options would be to reuse the metal disk or replace the metal disk and the plastic one still down in the pump with part 6055.740 which is the one currently used. You need a pick tool to hook the old disk and pull it up the shaft.
