I moved my WP 40's (with the Todd Mod) down to the back wall, just under my C2C.

Cleaned things up a bit more, not really sure why I didn't do it this way first.

Was:

Now:

Tinkered and did lots of other stuff this morning too, rearranged a few corals, glued some more hunks of
GSP to the overflow, etc.

I have mine aimed slightly up and toward the center front, and I have to put rubble along the front, and it still blows my CC to BB spots in the front.

I have egg crate under my sand so I don't crack the glass and it has blown the sand down to the crate

A little more progress on the stand outers.

I still have to glue the trim to the canopy outers.

I have the trim glued on and this is just layed up/mock up of the stand.

I've been wanting to move a few of my larger rock pieces back about 4" backwards.

So I pushed my canopy back some to get access to get the large rock/colonies out the top while on my step ladder.
In doing so, a had to move some big pieces of Rock and with large colonies out of the tank,
re-set some rock underneath- then try and place/balance the larger pieces back on top.

This is the void left my the excavation

As you know, corals are very brittle and easily broken off.
Luckily, none of my big pieces broke, and I only broke a few small pieces.
I broke off a piece of my Pearlberry, and I stepped on a frag of 'Joe the Coral'- dont ask
So I salvaged the pieces that are now in my Frag area in my sump

Here is the main area after my excavation

Here is a new FTS after the excavation

Howdy,

tank looks great. I was reading somewhere else you basically dose 25ml Kalk + 60ml vinegar / gallon of RO/DI? Or about 5 tsp Kalk / gallon? I was planning to do the same to keep my Alk/Calcium stable once my usage climbs. You were doing this on the previous tank as well?

You tank looks fantastic, but the pictures are all LED'ifyed. I'd love to see some pics taken with a camera that can handle the LEDs.

Requires playing with the white balance on your camera to get a more realistic looking image.

Yes you read right. Although I more than doubled my TWV, my Ca/Alk usage/uptake is about the same. I didn't double my corals- and I have alot of coral, and some big colonies too.
And that is what I drip in daily:
60ml vinegar + 25ml Kalwasser. Keeps my Alk 8 to 9, and my Ca above 425 consistantly.

Sorry about the picrures- It's my old Iphone4.

Today, I got a little tired of seeing the BB front part of my tank,

I then realized- out in my shed in my yard, I had some gravel and a few rocks a former reefer from my church gave me over a year ago. I really didn't need any rocks in the DT- so I put some of them in my sump to get seeded.
The gravel is what I'd call 'pea gravel'. It's defintely larger and heavier than everything I used thus far ot cover the that
bare spot, that keeps getting BB.
So, I powered everything off, put a tool in my DT to distract my Des. Tang (it's not working anymore- he harrasses my hand constantly) and re did the front/botrtom.

I powered it back up and looks like success!

It's stiill a little cloudy:

Great looking tank!!

Do you feel your getting enough flow with the wp 40s on the back glass? I have 3 wp40s in my 225 (same footprint just 30" tall). I have 2 on one side with a wavemaker function and another on the other side. I like the back wall look though.

I feel as though I am getting plenty of flow with my WP40's (With the Todd Mod) on the back corners.
They are ~2/3 the way up, and under my DIY C2C overflow.
They are aimed up slightly, and in slighlty.
Mounted like this, I was still having difficulty keeping any substrate on the front bottom- now I'm using heavier gravel up there, with plenty of 'rubble' too!
I'm using the stock controller/wave function- currently set on W2
Thanks for the compliment on my DT!

A few new pics, my old/current IPhone4.

I moved a Pavona coral from my frag area to my DT

This is a 'Reverse Superman' Monti, with a Purple Monti behind and right.
This pic was with my lights the way I normally have them, but my 'ol IPhone changes things alot

This is my Hollywood Stunner Chalice- finally doing well

This is my Ponape BN- with the Iphone color changes

This is my 'Supernatural' Monti- with only the bluer channel on

And, I'd like an ID of this sps? Red Stylo? Colony and semi-close up
