Tunze 9001 not foaming properly

Hey Roger,

Quick question. I've had the 9001 set up for almost 1.5 years now with no issues. I've had it apart a couple of times for cleaning. Every so often, it will stop foaming. Jiggling the airline fixes it. Sometimes. I've taken it apart during these episodes to make sure the airline was pushed in all the way and it is. Do you have any other ideas on what I might check? I don't really see what else could be causing it. Thanks.

My best guesses would be either:

The impeller cover the air hose attaches to is not attached to the motor and is loose and free to move.

The air hose has some salt creep at some point and moving the hose loosens the clog.

Thanks. The first time I cleaned it was because it stopped working. Worked flawlessly until then. Disassembly revealed the air hole being completely blocked by salt creep/lime. Cleared that and it worked great for about a week, then stopped foaming. I couldn't find anything wrong. Reassembled and it still didn't work. Played with the airline and it started working on and off since. I guess I should have followed the instructions and tried the 'vinegar down the airline' method first. Something must not be seating correctly. I'll keep an eye on it.
