Unfortunately I don't have a cat. Good idea though. haha Well I guess it is time to buy a nice camera that I can take some nice macros with. The camera is really cheap now, I can get her same camera for like $40 on ebay. haha. But I feel that it would be a waste of money because the thing is pretty bad. My parents are considering upgrading from their camera. I can't think of the name, but it is a nice camera. I would be more than happy to buy it off of them. I know it is a higher grade cannon with a nice lens.

hahah...worht a try. there are sometimes decent deals at best buy! as a reefer, it still amazes me how I can spend $200+ on a piece of equipment or $$ on corals but struggle to justify spending approx. $100 on a camera....haha

I am right there with ya. This will just allow me to chill out for a while. The more mature my tank is for SPS, the better.

Well, I am going on vacation to Colorado for a week. Getting some snowboarding in. Can't remember how long it's been since I have been there. Can't wait. A friend of ours will be taking care of my fish for the week. She will be stopping by to feed my fish and check to see if they are still swimming. I measured out the daily feedings for her so she can't over feed. Pray for me haha.

Thanks! It was really nice here the first two days. It is going to be sloppy today, the temp is 40 and it is getting slushy. We are supposed to be getting 6 to 12" tonight so tom should be great. It has been fun snowboarding with just a t-shirt. Everything is going great withthe the fish. I miss them all ready.

Well had a set back today. Something dreamy happned to my skimmer and it started overflowing. Salt level dropped down to 1.019. Something always crappy happens when I am away. My sitter added some salt to some water from my tank. To try and get the salt up. My Picasso clown is missing right now. I need to get home now.

Well haven't updated in a while. Got home and everything looked great. Fish and corals. My salinity only dropped to 1.023. My refractometer wasn't calibrated correctly. Lost my black onyx clown. Mitch is a great guy and is going to give me a new one. I think there was something wrong with him after being in the shipping box for two days. He wasn't eating and was swimming just bellow the surface all the time. Could have been a swimming bladder issue. The Picasso is doing great! I am relieved that there was no damage to the stand or carpet. It is a little damp, but it is coming out.

Thanks the skinner is working great. I will get a pic up in a couple of minutes. I think my sitter accidently messed closed the air valve on my skimmed while looking for my missing clown. I am going up to. Mitchs house this week to get another clown.

I am going to go.get another clown on Friday. I can't decide on a onyx or a Picasso. I would have to add for another grade a Picasso

how high is that stand? It looks a little low. I was thinking of getting that stand, but it looks a little short. Also, if you have time, could you give me the exact footprint measurement of the aquariums base in case I build my own stand?

The stand is only 27" tall. The reason for this is because of the tank dimensions. Since the tank is 30"x30" you couldn't fit the stand in a doorway if it was over 28" tall. A normal doorway ie 30" wide without the door on the hinges. So there is only around 28" to work with the door attached to the hinges. I agree that it looks short in pics, but in person it looks a lot better. Plus. It would be hard to work on the bottom of the tank with a taller stand.
Ill pm you tom when get the exact measurements for the tank.

Got my clown fish today. He is a really good looking onyx. He is about twice as big as the last one i had. has some really nice markings. I will post some crappy pics tom of the new clown tom with my crappy camera phone. Lol

Here is a pic of my new clown I got from Mitch. I love his markings and he is a lot bigger than the picasso. No fighting for dominance what so ever. SO far they are a happy couple.

Here is my skimmer going nuts becasue of the clam spawning.

Really nice! I wish I could see an accurate picture of what the coloration of your bulb looks like.

Is dosing MB7 on a timer really going to be effective without turning off the skimmer?

I never turn off the skimmer. I don't know if that would help.
