When should I test?
Hello, I have a 30 gallon tank that I change 3 gallons every week on Wednesday or Thursdays...depending on OT availability. When should I test my parameters? Before or after? My tank is only a few months old and I test weekly for Alk, Calc, and Nitrate. My Apex takes care of the rest of what I need for now.
Thanks, Matt |

I think it's likely fine either way. I'd probably measure just before the water change, to be sure about the low end, but unless the parameters are close to the edge, I doubt that it matters.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking, I want historical data on what minerals my fish and corals are using. I figure I’ll be dosing with a year, trying to understand what they need.

I suspect that's very likely.
