Scolymia question

Why do my two scolymia open there mouths at the end of the day to release what appears to be red stringy Stuff?. They didn't used to. I have added more blue to the light and reduced nitrates slightly.Everything else is healthy.

Do you directly feed them?

Could be poop from directly feeding, or the increased lighting is making it expel zooxanthellae.

If your feeding them its normal.

Do they look healthy and have tentacles in the night that extend?

That are feeding as normal and have extended tentacles. I think it's the lighting increase.
