Looking forward to seeing your progress.

+1 for the Bianca Beauchamp reference. Well played.
How wide is your tank? Mine and the OP's tanks are 36" wide which is why we need more radions. I would say tanks that are 27" or less wide could just use 3 radions.

Looking good! I really like those light mounts, think of redoing mine with those. Canopy is heavy isnt it?

it takes two people to take it down. Not that heavy considering the shear size of it.

What I liked is that they have openings that stretch the length of the tank so you get a good air exchange.

My tank is 72.5"x30.5"x27", so it's 30.5" wide.

When you get the rest of the plumbing done take some good photos and post. I'm always looking to see how others are doing their plumbing and how things turn out.

I have a 200DD myself...just got the first fish in it yesterday. I have an open top, with my lights hanging and I get a lot of light spill into the room. I'm considering buying the monterey canopy. If you don't mind me asking: what is the internal height?

I am considering the 300DD, with Monterey stand and canopy, too.

Once thing that concerns me though - the height of the stand. It seems very short. With the canopy on the tank, and you standing straight up, where does your line of sight go? Into the canopy or to the upper part of the tank?

I just don't like the idea of having to bend down to take a look into the tank.

What are your thoughts?

The internal Height to the water level is 10.5" ,my lights are 8.25 from the water aprox.

Actually for me its perfect.....Im 5.8", standing up Im looking at Canopy . Standing right infront of it about 4-6 inches from the stand I dont have to bend down because the tank is 36" from front to back I see everything also My Aquascaping will be no more than 18- 20" high, so I will be able to see everything.

Will be taking some more pictures , Im doing it really slowly with what ever free time I have so its uber slow right now.

I took it with my iphone in Panorama so it may look crooked but its not. All Drain lines are installed at an incline so water flow properly.

Bought some extra insulation and Gypse to seal the hole after plumbing is complete, because my old hole for the plumbing does not fall exactly at the same place of my old setup so I had to make it larger.

Looks really good, can't wait to see it completed! Btw that drill guide looks handy. Does it have a ring to hold water around the bit or did you have to hold the garden hose on it like normal with a trickle?
