Beautiful mags guys! What a species... here are some shots of my magnifica island in the center of my 1300 gallon...

There's a blue gig towards the back... but the three in the center are good examples of the variation of magnifica...

Here's a shot a few years ago to show my pair of leucokranos I've had for about eight years that lives on the island... now they get lost in the anemones...

A better shot of one of the leucs... and the two original mags I got years ago... the one to the left has that amazing purple base that the species is known for... and the one to the right has the blood red base also seen... but the tentacles glow green and have purple tips. I was going to stay with these two until I found the absolutely incredible purple mag you can see to the right above...

Cheers to the anemone forum from an SPS and angelfish guy!

Copps

Yes, we know, there's a cheaper and prettier fish than the one we’re talking about.

Current Tank Info: displays are 1300 gallon SPS (8.5' x 6' x 42"), 240 gallon anemone, and 350 gallon fish only

Here's a pic of my friend Tony's mag, probably one of the nicest I've ever seen. I took this pic a few years ago. I need to get back over there and take more pics for him soon.

Yes. You need a better picture of this beautiful anemone so we all can drool all over our keyboard.

I can't remember if this is the same Mag, but I like the shot

I have just acquired a multi-coloured mag.
it has silvery tentacles with purple tips on 90%of the oral disk and the 10% electric green tentacles on the remainder, and a purple foot. I have never seen on like it.

That is a nice Magnifica. Hope he will settle in and become heathier for you.
That is a very nice pair of Ocellaris. I need to try to get a wild caught pair of Ocellaris and Percula. I am just soooo tire of deformities of tank raise clowns.
That last picture, the male Ocellaris looks like a perfect fish.

Thanks for your concern. The nem was in holding for 2 weeks prior to its movement, no issues so fingers crossed

I’ve got my first mag coming on Wednesday.

A small one from aquasd:

I’ve got cipro ready to go if I need it, but I’m not sure whether I’ll need to treat prophylactically. I will post photos here once I receive it. I’m hoping to get advice on what to do from this awesome crew of mag experts.

Well, it’s here. The smallest mag I’ve ever seen .

Mouth is mostly closed. Is trying to crawl off the pedestal. Light is an kessil a80 at half strength. So far I’m leaning towards not treating unless it starts to deteriorate, but would be interested to hear opinions.

This one does not look like a Magnifica to me. I had Malu that look just like this in the past. I would not be extremely surprise if this anemone start to head for the sand.
