apex fusion - what is your power consumption on heater

apex fusion users

how much power do You use a day heating your tank.


0. heater manufacturer
1. tell me the size of tank
2. tell me size of heater
2a. if 2 heaters size of heater 2
3. what temp it set at
3a. heater 2 temp
4. how much power it uses a day
4a. heater 2 power use.

finnex titanium
120g tank 150 total volume
300watts x 2 heaters
set point is 78 degrees
~4300 watts per day for both
cost's me about $0.60

Just the heaters. I monitor all of my electrical circuits in the house. The circuit my tank is on I average 315 Watts for just the tank, pumps, lights etc. I see when the heaters kick on in the graph. Electric jumps to about 750 watts on average with about 30 minute cycles. I average 10 heat cycles per day.

i'm just wondering...how do you monitor the wattage usage for all your equipment?

Kill-A-Watt makes several items that monitor power. I use the power strip.

if you have the newest apex, it will monitor all the items(individually) that plug into the apex.
the classic will only monitors the whole bar.

3, 300 Watt heaters plus more.

My entire load fluctuates between 6.3-9.2 amps
