A cool new hitchhiker showed up today
There’s a new worm in my tank - he has a web for filter feeding. I’m not sure how he got there but here he is
I’m wondering if he came on the back of one of the ~35 snails / hermits I ordered from live aquaria. My best guess is it filter feeds nitrates or bacteria out of the water column considering I don’t add phytoplankton and don’t have any noticeable pod population. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Cool! It's a feather duster worm. This species builds a hard calcium tube. It would have already been on the rock when you got it.
