Snitches Zoas
Hello everyone,
I purchased this zoa from a vender as snitches. After looking at photos on zoathids.com and google, they just don't seem to match up to me. It doesn't have the red/orange ring around the mouth or the baby blue color to it. I am reaching out for help to ID it or to confirm that it is indeed a snitches zoa or not. Any advice or comment is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Snitches are just super colored up red Indonesia zoanthids under really blue light in clean water, so yes, chances are those will color up the same under really blue light in clean water. These are most likely the same thing under yellower light and water that's not as clean:

You would be correct , these are not snitches snitches are a different pattern and color as well have the orange ring. This is some type of fire and ice variety prob fetches a dozen names ......often these types are labeled as snitches so I'm sorry you got duped Fwiw Snitches are not fire and ice regardless of what lighting you run them in lol I have both and while fire and ice do tend to have many morphs , snitches is not one of them they are two completely different polyps. Of course those who own them would know this |
