Missing smashes ?

Hey guys just took delivery of my peacock mantis shrimp two days ago and I’ve noticed I haven’t seen either smashers on him.. even took some tongs with some shrimp to get a good and nothing, he is 3in long I’m assuming he lost them during a molt .. all I do is wait a few molts and it should grow back is what I’ve Gathered and feed daily..
