Torch Coral Dead?

I purchased a torch coral about 1 and half weeks ago, it seemed to be doing fine but over the last few days has slowly receded into its skeleton and has not come out. It looks like brown algae is now growing on the interior of the skeleton. I have goniopora, montipora, zoas, and a hammer that are all doing fine and have been doing fine.

Phosphates: 0.2
Nitrates: 0
Have not been testing calcium alk or mag I do frequent water changes and have not so many corals.

I would research Brown Jelly Disease, as you mentioned brown algae.

yep.. sounds like its a goner..
(may be brown jelly as stated or not)..
Once the algae starts to grow its usually a bad sign

It could have simply been damaged due to handling/excessive flow,etc...
Their tissue is very delicate and their skeletons are very sharp..

It happens even if your water parameters are perfect..

They don't seem to like even moderate flow. Mine opens up a LOT more if it's in low flow area. So it can be difficult to have one in an sps dominated reef.

I once caught my torch with the water change hose. I literally sucked 50% of its heads off. Thought for sure I killed it. It's now about 10 heads and has been fragged once.

Definitely sounds like Brown Jelly Disease. Look into treating it with Iodine if possible. Also doesn't matter that you don't have many corals and do water changes, test for the big 3 no matter what.

If I had to guess I would say brown jelly disease which can be common with euphyllias but can't be certain without pic
