Adding T5's to LED's just got easier

This looks pretty sharp. I like my aquatic life 4 bulb fixture with my 2 kessil 360s cut into it, but this looks pretty slick.
Something to strongly think about for the soon coming tank upgrade. I've been leaning so hard towards the Hamilton cebusun with 250w radiums but I keep thinking about doing more leds with t5's.

It's definitely a good idea. Hopefully more companies will follow suit

I am getting this fixture with 2 Kessil 360s over my 75. Just not sure what T5 bulbs to use. Anyone done this? Suggestions for bulb combinations?

I just installed a retrofit kit to supplement two viparspectra led's. Went with Coral + and Coral Light. I'm pleased with the results.

This Pic is blue led channel only and the T5's. Sorry it's just cell phone quality.

As for the product the OP shared, worth considering if one does not have a canopy.

What exactly did you go with? Miro retrofit? Sunblaster?

LFS version of a Miro retro. They had reflectors, ballasts, bulbs, caps, etc. Just had to get wire from home depot.

Came in yesterday. Must be myself and strip it down over the weekend. Want to check what type of ballasts are in it. I still have a bunch of Sylvanias from old systems. Most likely will change the ballasts out. The end caps and reflectors should be ok.

You may want to hold up................It's my understanding that based upon the feedback being received, a newer version is in the works. Some anticipated improvements to include better/sturdier end caps, longer power cords on the same side of the fixture among other things. It's anticipated that the improvements will be backwards compatible.

So a couple first impressions. On the endcaps, IMHO they should be fine. They push on and have a rubber shell that covers the connections and the end of the bulb. When you pull them off, they pop from the suction. The bulbs go on clips. There isn't an on/off switch. Doesn't bother me either since I'll use my controller.

For the price I'd expect it to have built in timer(s). No on off switch either.... smh

Potentially one of the upgrades on version 2.

Is it possible to orient a set of radion 30s front to back in this setup? Looking at a 60" tank and was thinking three radions oriented perpendicular to the tank. I'm describing this terribly potentially...

You need to get the 24 " bracket they just release for that setup.
