Thanks! I'll try to get some pics without the flash. She's a beautiful deep dark royal blue!

That little guy is awesome! Are you sure it's not an Asfur Angel? It sure looks like it, especially with the yellow tail.

I'm a little late, but.......I've had mine 2.5 years, he was about 3 inches when I got him and already pretty much adult coloration. He has grown fairly fast IMO, and is a good 8 inches now. He is not super bold, but certainly not shy, he has a spot in the middle of the tank under a rock overhang where he spends most of his time. Gets along fine with everyone, occasionally chases the smaller Emperor and Koran, on pretty equal terms with the similar sized French, though not out nearly as much.

Yours looks awesome, nice to see one in juvi coloration, I think Asfur and Mac change to adult fairly quickly compared to others in the genus.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with finding one with juvi colors still. And I like the numerous comments so far that they appear to stay , if not mellow, and at least a bit shy, as I've actively tried to really not get any aggressive angels in this tank.

Again, if I can get some shots without the flash, it's pretty clear it's a mac, along with the body shape.

One more good note, when I got mine, I had sent an email to wetwebmedia and Bob Fenner replied saying he considers P. Maculosus the most hardy of the genus, and up there with H. Passer and H. Clarion as perhaps the most hardy Angels period.

Haven't seen one of these little CB white bar macs in a while... Anyone here snag this one from DD last week?

She's doing well. Slowly losing some of the stripes as she grows, but nothing too dramatic.

Drop dead gorgeous.

How's the rest of the crew doing? Didn't you have a weird threesome going on?

Thanks buddy! Everyone's doing ok Matt.... This year has been crazy busy with work for me, so pretty much just feed, and do water changes..... I don't get to enjoy them very much.

The saddleback butterfly is really getting huge... I need to get a pic of him.

Glad to see an update on this one! Looks like her overall body shape has changed a bit, and her dorsal streamer is becoming longer/more pronounced. Very nice!!

Great looking Angel!
It's a bit hard to tell from that angle, but is the caudal fin a nice solid yellow? It looks like it.
A bit disappointed with the translucent look of my own's tail.

It's solid in color, but not a brilliant yellow like an Asfur... more a creamy yellow.

Mine was very shy, and didn't bug anyone that didn't bug him. Definitely one of my favorites. Took awhile for him to trust me, but we got there eventually. Looks like yours is venturing out just fine?

Every Mac I've seen has been shy and somewhat timid. Even the large ones are a bit reserved. But that's just my experience with them. Awesome fish, thanks for the update...

Wow, that is super cool. I've always been curious about this species as they are so unique when adults. Yours is really starting to get that nice adult marking. Great looking fish. I may have to consider this when I move to a FOWLR in a few months.

Wow! What a difference from her DD pic! Adult markings on/near the head are really starting to come in! How much would you guess she has grown since you got her? Beautiful fish!

Thanks, yes, the loss or stripes isn't really total, and depends on her mood, but is a pretty recent occurrence. The flash of the camera on that current pic really makes the scales on the forehead look more visible than they really are. I've only had her a year, and she's now about 6" TL.

Thanks! I know they get big, so not sure I'll be able to keep her forever, but hopefully for a good long while.
