I like green olives...
ok fine.. Not sure how many you will find with it for reviews.. That whole setup is I think pretty new/hasn't been out long.. Many of us caution to avoid their lighting products that have been around because they are overpriced and under powered.. I sure as heck wouldn't drop that kind of cash on their stuff..

Pass on it. You can piece together better products for cheaper. The lights are underpowered for a tank with LPS and/or SPS. Softies or a fish only tank they would be okay.

I'm running the Loop system on my 72 currently. 48" about 10" off of the water + 2 of their powerheads. I've had it up and running for about six months without any issue and have started adding corals recently which seem to be responding ok to the lighting / water movement. I will say that I am also running two smaller powerheads & a Reefbrite blue/white tech strip in addition to the loop system. Not sure I'd be happy without the extra they provide.
Nice plug and play unit that would probably keep your softies but not much else. I'm already missing having a UV/Deep Purple spectrum in the LED's. There isn't much you can do with the Blue/Red/Green/White channel mix. HTH |

As an example you can mount three "black box" LED's (Mars Aqua, Viparspectra, etc) which will give you more than enough light with the options of adding more LSP and even SPS in the future if you'd like.
Also the return pump market has many options from $100 on up. If your 180 has dual overflows/returns, a single more powerful pump would be able to deliver to both returns.

The pumps are fine. They work quite well. But the leds are pure starter fixtures for a 12" deep tank. And altogether... over priced.

Well thanks for all the input, after reading the comments I did some more research and poking around RC and decided on reefbreeders photon 48. only question I have is one enough for a 24" wide tank?

Do you plan to use the legs or to hang it? My tank is only 20" deep but still 24" front to back and because I have sps corals growing off the back glass, I really needed better than 24" spread. So I ended up adding 2 led strips. I wanted a bit more light (PAR) and I wanted a tank that is more white in front and blue in the back. You can see what I did in my tank build thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2593017

I was thinking the legs and after looking at your thread I think I might use a blue strip light in the back, awesome build by the way. still reading threw your build thread it is very helpful, I have had some ideas it has helped with like a display fuge but I think I will just do one in the sump at least for now.

I have the current marine pro over my FOWLR. It does a fine job since there is no coral but I wouldn't attempt keeping coral again with it.
