Can a partially bleached Galaxea come back
So I purchased this Galaxea this weekend and noticed that there are some areas that are bleached. Is there a chance that it'll grow back or is it dead forever in the bleached spots.
I also heard if you clip the bleached portions they will grow? Is this true? |

There's a spot in the upper left quadrant that looks completely dead which I wouldn't expect to come back. The other areas look to still be alive and "should" come back. That's kind of a weird bleaching pattern, was it caused by salt creep falling on it? Or maybe it was rotated under a light a couple of times burning several spots?

I'm not sure, I actually just purchased the piece and didn't notice it when I bought it. What about if I clip off those pieces...do you think that'll help?

I had a piece of galaxea on its way out, exposed skeleton, polyps barely out...I moved it up in the tank and it's much much better now, it even has long feeder tentacles (so to speak) now. I say less is more and I wouldn't clip it.
