Good question. Let me recall...

Angels:
Bandit angel, emperor angel, flame angel, red sea regal angel, majestic angel, Japanese masked swallowtail

Misc:
Black tang, Blonde naso tang, Midas blenny, 8 bimac anthias, 2 pyramid butterflies, flame hawkfish, flame wrasse, 2 subzero frostbite clowns.

In frag tanks, 11 assorted clowns and foxface.

You have a crazy stock for a 215gallon haha! I love angels myself but I’m scared to get more. My regal is huge and she’s a good citizen aside from the sps nipping here and there.

How are the butterflies?

I'm all about that overcrowded look. The emperor will have to go down the line... He'll get too big for my tank... And sadly maybe the blonde naso unless I upgrade.

Pyramid butterflies are plantonic feeders... They are great. They don't nip or even look for food not in the water column.

I hear that, I have a silly amount myself and keep looking for new additions.

Did you buy the pyramids as a pair?

Pyramids often get this odd bacterial/fungal disease where their mouths will rot off completely and make them unable to eat. I only wanted one but ordered two just in case and both made it. In the wild they are in giant schools.

Tyree shout out today:

Tyree Pinky the Bear... Aka... Confetti-lite

Tyree Superman - lesser known one but what a beauty. Hard to capture the blue but think iridescent bright in person.

Which angel do you like more? I would like to add either a majestic or emperor. I know my zoas and acans/blastos will be lunch but dont want my torches and clam to made into fish food.
thanks
Jeff

Can't say for clams but I prefer my Majestic a bit more than my emperor. Emperor will be boss of the tank and grow ginormous! It'll be out more and swim around the tank a ton.

Majestic grows a bit smaller but still a good size. It is more cryptic and tends to hang out near the rocks and hide a bit more. Yes, all your softies and definitely acans are toast. None of my 6 angels mess with my gold torch.

Nice surgical frag removal from the center. I need to remember to frag like that. Did you put glue on the cut spot?

Thanks for the appreciation. Those who don't frag as much don't know how difficult that cut really was.

No, it heals clear and then the flesh color comes in after.

And this new one, 18mm-200mm telephoto with macro extension tubes for that 18mm-55mm range I'm missing with my other lenses.

Most crisp to least...
35mm
90mm Tamron Macro
18mm-200mm telephoto with extension tubes
55mm-250mm telephoto with extension tubes.

I shoot everything in RAW and then post process in Lightroom to correct for white balance and also to match what I see in person. I try not to oversaturate or mislead in appearance.

Please forgive me for sounding like I know what I'm doing with a camera... I only picked one up for the first time last Spring.

Happy New Year too!
Beautiful shots buddy!

I love my Tamron 90mm Macro lens!
