Sump options

Hey all. I'm about to setup my first reef in a 75 gal wavefront tank. Unfortunately, the tank is not drilled and there is no room under the stand to place a sump. I am looking at using an job overflow box and run it to 2 10 gal tanks to serve as a sump and a refugium.

My question is, should I run two seperate drain lines from something like a pf 1000 overflow and then have two seperate returns? Should I split a smaller overflow to 2 seperate tanks and still keep two returns or should I find a way to connect the two 10 gal tanks together with one return. Due to limited space, the 20 gal tanks will be stacked on a dual tank stand, one above the other.

My biggest concern is having too much water drain from the overflow on power outtage, causing a flood of the small sump.

Ideas, thoughts, suggestions?

Any way to get a bigger volume, say a 29 gallon?

I too would say you may need a bigger sump, I don't know if 20 gallons is enough to handle overflow accumulation during power outages.
