Air silencer?

Is there a way to purchase a new silencer? The tab that connects the silencer to the silicon tube snapped when I was breaking the skimmer down for a cleaning. This is on my Vertex Alpha 170(old model that came with Red Dragon pump) but the silencer looks to be the same size as the silencer on my Double Cones.

We don't normally sell/stock the silencers in our Florida warehouse. You can order one directly from Germany. If you can verify that then one from your Double Cone fits your Alpha and know the model/version of that skimmer, you can find the silencer on this page and order it direct from Germany. On that skimmer, I don't know if the red tube is glued in or pressed in. If it's pressed in you could just push it down from the tip so you have enough sticking out to connect the tube. That should not impact performance of the skimmer. If it were me, I would just glue it and call it a day.

Here is a link to the silencers. Note that we don't denote which one works with the Vertex skimmers as these were OEM'd/built for Vertex and they are the ones that sell parts specifically for them. The only thing we normally offer are blocks and impellers.

Thanks for the quick reply Slief! I don't know why but I just assumed it was glued in but checked and it was pressed in. Easiest fix ever! Thanks for linking the parts site too, that may come in handy in the future
