Green Star Polyp and Toadstool Leather Touching

So my tank is getting crowded and Im wondering if a GSP and a toadstool leather coral touching each other will start a chemical warfare or something? Do either sting? I realize the leather may cause the GSP to close a bit but just wonder if it will kill it or vice versa.

It can, generally speaking you do not want any other corals touching your Leathers. Running carbon can mitigate some of the chems released.
